Entangled Health with Thomas Ehmer
Entangled Health with Thomas Ehmer is a long-form podcast and research-media project exploring quantum biology, quantum computing, AI, biotechnology, consciousness research, and the future of medicine.
Hosted by Thomas Ehmer, the project brings together scientists, clinicians, technologists, founders, artists, and frontier thinkers for long-form conversations, technical deep dives, research notes, and public experiments.
We distinguish established evidence, emerging research, and frontier hypotheses. Entangled Health is for education and discussion; it is not medical advice.

What is it?
Entangled Health itself is an experiment and experience - and we explore where quantum science, medicine, AI in the wider sense, and human flourishing intersect - occasionally re-discovering ancient wisdom.
Entangled Health is a long‑form research and conversation project at the quantum frontier of medicine, not to be confused with a similar named ‘The Entangled Health Podcast’ on story‑strategy in health and justice systems.
This Substack is the companion notebook: episode briefs, sources, synthesis, and periodic “What & So What” tech updates, especially around related tech, AI (policy), quantum sensing, but also meditation, and wider biofield research. Comments are open to everyone; paid supporters fund production and unlock deeper research packs and occasional bonus drops (no fixed monthly cadence, this is still my hobby). This is often under the Section “Deep Dive”
Sometimes I write what really burns under the nails - to keep it human (-;
The two side rooms
Alongside the main Entangled Health feed, there are now two side rooms:
Educational Series – This is the quiet reference library. It’s where the slower, more didactic pieces live: unpacking concepts from episodes, walking through study design, and explaining why a particular claim is or isn’t as solid as it sounds. Think methods, scaffolding, and “show your work.” These posts don’t hit your inbox by default; you can go seek them when you want the underlying logic.
Quantum Margins – This is the live edge. It’s where the margin notes, late‑night rabbit holes, and “wait, what exactly is going on here?” essays go when they’re too alive for the main feed and not finished enough to pretend they’re conclusions. In Quantum Margins I treat big spiritual and scientific claims as hypotheses, not scriptures, and stress‑test them in public. This section is opt‑in and does not auto‑email; you can subscribe to it separately if you enjoy seeing the thinking while it’s still messy but rigorously questioned.
Who am I?
That’s the question of questions. I think I am in a superposition of many personas, and definitely depends on the interaction with whom I interact.
I am dancing between my background as PhD in Biophysics now over 25 years ago (I did modeling of electro-physiologcial phenomena), my appetite for Philosophy, Psychology, scouting non-classical computing paradigms (neuromorphic, quantum, and whatever comes up), explore the intersection of consciousness (or Consciousness with capital C) research as good as I can, quantum computing to a level that is enough to understand the challenges, but not do deep that I would be able to develop novel Shor Algorithms. I think we under-estimate the power of self healing and we do not understand the power behind non-neuro-normal people, experiencing this with my Son who has Down Syndrome. I play piano on different levels of sophistication, mainly Jazz-Funk and occasionally other Jazz, rarely classic, because I am not disciplined enough to make time to practice. I cook, eat and love walking - so.
What you’ll find here (free)
I publish:
Podcast companion notes (key ideas, context, links, and “why this matters”) and some deep dives
Short research briefs and tech updates (policy, sensors, emerging methods)
Occasional essays when something important clicks across domains
Comments are open to everyone. If you disagree, bring your best argument, this is a place for curious skeptics and careful thinkers.
Why subscribe?
Entangled Health is a companion notebook to the podcast: research briefs, episode synthesis, and periodic updates at the intersection of quantum science, medicine, AI policy, quantum sensing, meditation, and biofield research.
Get the full archive
Subscribers get full access to the publication archive (so you can browse past episodes, research notes, and updates in one place).
Stay up-to-date (without noise)
Every new post is delivered straight to your inbox. For a clean reading experience (and audio + community features), you can also use the Substack app.
Join the crew (comments stay free)
Comments are open to everyone. Paid subscribers support the work financially and unlock the deeper “research layer.”
Paid supporters: what you unlock
Paid supporters fund the show and get access to future paid drops (research packs, making-of notes, occasional bonus audio). As I publish paid posts, they’ll be saved in a members-only archive.
Research Packs for selected episodes (sources/links, key ideas, counterpoints, follow-up questions)
Making-of notes (framing, what surprised me, what I’d ask next (or better not!))
Occasional bonus drops (short audio briefings or essays)
No fixed monthly cadence: paid posts are released as “drops” when the research is ready. This is still my passion and Hobby.
By considering to support, you help financing the infrastructure / hosting, and eventually a cup of coffee.
Plans
€5/month Supporter: Unlock paid posts (see above) + support the show.
€50/year Supporter (Annual): Same, with a discount.
IF you think that’s too cheap and can and want to directly help funding hosting / tools - and keep the work here independent - why not check this:
From €120/year Founding Supporter: For those who want to sponsor the work at a higher level (includes everything above, plus optional name in an annual thank-you post if you want).
Name clarification
Entangled Health with Thomas Ehmer is an independent podcast and research-media project. It is not affiliated with “The Entangled Health Podcast”, hosted by Madison Murphy Barney, a separate program about storytelling, public health, and justice-oriented work.
